Yay, it’s Kingsday for all Dutchies; the day where we celebrate our King’s birthday 🎉 Unfortunately, I’m not around to celebrate in the Netherlands, dressed in orange and eating a tompouce (check out a fairly healthy version of the original tompouce 😉), so I thought I’d share this outfit with you instead 😃
One of the Dutch symbols is a lion and this panter dress is the closest to that animal I could find in my closet (I hope I’m not insulting panters nor tigers by comparing them so easily 😉😂).
I bought this amazing dress from Typical Jill last week in the Netherlands at a shop that had just opened in Laren. The length of the dress falls over the knees and has a classical collar, which gives quite a modest feel. However, the wild panter print contrasts to this and makes it young and daring 😽
The buttons don’t go down all the way, so there’s a slit giving some peek-a-boo moments to your legs. It’s possible to open this dress all the way, I will definitely wear it as a loose jacket too, paired with some jeans and a white shirt. Keep an eye on my Instagram to see a look like that in the near future 🙌🏻
For this look, I paired the dress with some high heels and my new golden earrings from Mango, which creates a feminine and chic look. However, a sporty sneaker or some casual sandals will definitely work too!
